Organised year by year, and printed in black and white, Giuliana Gramigna has collated the many key pieces of furniture and lighting to come out of Italy, from the modernism of the 50's, the organic design of the 60's to the rise of Memphis in the late 70's. This book is both an essential piece of reference material, as well as being an incredibly interesting book to study. 

Featuring works by Marco Zanuso, Franco Albini, Vico Magistretti, Enzo Mari, Achille Castiglioni, Ettore Sottsass Jr., Joe Colombo, Nanda Vigo, Cini Boeri, Sergio Mazza, Osvaldo Borsani, Richard Sapper and many others.
