A beautiful bronze-colored iron lamp with wonderful raised period motifs and red accents around the base is crowned with a palm-like adornment above the column, seating the socket.  These features lend the light base a sophisticated expression of culture reminiscent of Spanish Revival, Arts & Craft and Baroque styles of decoration.

The lamp base is in a remarkably good state, free of structural issues and major surface blemish.  I see no cracks, breaks, bends or splits in the metal.  The push-switch at the socket works without issue.  The bronze fabric-covered wire is a classy update and the plug likely also an update.  The harp is fixed and in great shape, absent breaks and bends.  Just add your dream shade or consider one of my designs from inventory or a custom make for a dramatic or functional performance.  I have given this lamp a cursory cleaning and leave the rest to the buyer's discretion.

I made the art glass shade shown in pictures in my studio this year.  I acquired this lamp base with a handsome hoard of lamps and period parts from established antiquities dealers over the years for my lighting business. I am saddened by its departure but also delighted at the prospect it will be lovingly received and put to good service by new caretakers.  This listing is for a genuine artifact of a bygone era that will be a pleasure to welcome into a new home.
