A fascinating and attractive early map of the Scotland with an inset of the Shetland Islands. 

DATE PRINTED: 1817. Dated in pencil on the plate - the NLS has an example of this map which they date to 1818.  

SIZE: The printed area including titles is approximately 19 x 24.5 cm, 7.5 x 9.75 inches (medium) plus margins. 

PROVENANCE:  This antique map was published by Thomas Kelly, London

ARTIST/ENGRAVER: Engraved by James Wallis (active 1789-1812). 

TYPE: Antique copper plate engraving printed on paper.

VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is blank.

CONDITION: Good. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase. Virtually all antiquarian maps and prints are subject to some normal aging due to use and time which is not significant unless otherwise stated.
