Rope seal adhesive is a heat resistant adhesive that withstands very high temperatures, up to 1100c and is used to secure rope/ tape and ceramic fibre seals to oven, stove and boiler doors.
It is ideal for fixing rope seals to heater doors; specifically stoves, wood burners range cookers and boilers.
This rope seal adhesive is an easy to use liquid adhesive that is easily cleaned up with water.
Excellent adhesion to most glass, metal fibre rope, thermal rope and ceramic rope.
Application:
1.Shake the bottle thoroughly
2. Ensure the surface where you are wanting to use the adhesive is clean and free from grease and dust. A light surface abrasion of the material to be bonded will increase the amount of surface available for adhesion and give an improved mechanical key.
3. Apply a bead of adhesive directly from the bottle
4. Press the seal firmly into place . Light the stove, close the door, and gradually increase the oven temperature over a 30 minute period
5. Turn the oven off and allow the adhesive to dry fully for approx 8 hours.
Store between 5c and 30c out of direct sunlight
