The globe is made of cardboard with a detailed map as the world was known in the 16th century. This little guy is in very good condition. The colors are bright and vivid!! There are minimal wear in the form of light scratches and scuffs consistent with age. The base is also in excellent vintage condition. It does however, make an awesome statement piece when displayed and due to its size it looks at home on a desk, shelf, just about anywhere you can place it. It is an instant conversation starter for sure. This is one globe that should be in every collector's collection or would be a great way to begin a collection!! The globe measures 8 cm // 7.5” in diameter but stands approximately 19 cm //7.5” high with the stand.
