You are looking at a pair of gorgeous cufflinks, each set with an authentic United States 2000 Sacagawea Dollar BU Uncirculated Coin. One shows REVERSE in front, and one shows OBVERSE in front. The obverse design, by Glenna Goodacre, depicts the young Shoshone woman, Sacagawea, portrayed in three-quarter profile. In the Shoshone verbal legend, Sacagawea is described as having large dark eyes, a feature included in this portrait relief. On her back, Sacagawea carries her infant son Jean Baptiste, who she carried and cared for on her entire 3,000-mile portion of the expedition with Lewis and Clark. The original reverse of the coin portrays an eagle in flight designed by Thomas D. Rogers Sr. There are 17 stars around the eagle, representing each state in the Union at the time of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Above the eagle’s head is the motto IN GOD WE TRUST, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above, and ONE DOLLAR below. The diameter of cufflinks is 27.6mm. The cufflinks are made of solid brass with gold or silver plating, and have never been used before. I only use these coins with readable dates, never try to clean them, and always keep their collectible and numismatic values. I hope you end up with one of these beautiful coin cufflinks. These cufflinks will be great for gift, wearing or just adding to your collection. Thanks!!!
