The intake manifold plays an important role in sealing various channels connecting to your vehicle's engine. Found at the top of the cylinder head, it seals the surfaces around coolant and air channels to protect against leakage.
Where is intake manifold gasket located?
The intake manifold gasket sits between the bottom of the intake manifold and the top of engine block, preventing air and coolant from escaping in the space where these two surfaces meet.
What happens if you don't replace a bad intake manifold?
If the intake manifold is bad, you may see a reduction in power, uneven acceleration, and even backfiring. If the intake manifold is still going, it may cause a coolant leak and engine overheating.
