This is a vintage and rare Japanese bronze relief that comes in a beautiful frame.

The title of the piece is " Gold Bronze Peony ", which is a flower that is often referred to as the King of Flowers due to its stunning appearance. It's also a symbol of wealth and status.

The piece was created by Tomiyasu Aida who was a well-known metalcasting artist from 1901 to 1987.

He studied under Azumi Yamamoto and was famous for his metal engraving skills. Aida served as the chairman of the Kosaikai and was a member of the Nitten Exhibition, which made him a major figure in the modern Japanese metalworking world. In addition to his artistic achievements, he also wrote many books on old seal research and metal casting techniques.

The Nitten Exhibition is the most esteemed art organization in Japan, featuring the top artists from across the country who showcase their works in the annual exhibition. It was founded in 1907 by the Japanese Imperial Ministry of Education as the Bunten show, later renamed to Teiten, and after the reorganization of the Imperial Art Academy in 1937, it became known as the Nitten show.
