The Kent-class heavy cruisers are a type of heavy cruiser of the Royal Navy of Great Britain during the Second World War. Belonged to the "County" type of the 1st series. A total of 5 units were built for the British fleet: Kent, Berwick, Cumberland, Cornwall, Suffolk. 2 more cruisers were built for the Australian Navy: Australia and Canberra. "Kent" - laid down on November 15, 1924, launched on March 16, 1926, entered service on June 28, 1927. The main task of the Kent-class cruisers was to protect the long communications of the British Empire. Light and auxiliary cruisers were considered as the main threat, and new ships were supposed to be guaranteed to catch up and destroy such an enemy. In accordance with this, the "Kents" received powerful weapons, had a huge cruising range by the standards of the 1920s, and were distinguished by excellent seaworthiness. The model is replete with a lot of details, there is a reverse print, the level of complexity is quite high. We recommend it only to experienced modelers.
