Instructions for use:

Step 1
Record the distance from the pupil of the eye to the commissure of the lip using the VDO gauge (See Figure "A" below)

Step 2
Tighten the screw to secure the recorded measurement

Step 3
Place the rounded arm of the gauge underneath the chin and nose. If the rounded arm makes a perfect fit with the chin, the patient’s VDO has been accurately captured (See Figure "B" below).

The VDO Gauge is used for dental requirements in the area of dentistry. This is an instrument to be used in taking measurements of certain facial landmarks. The use of protective gloves is recommended each time the tool is handled with a patient. Loosen the screw and adjust the gauge to measure the distance between the center of the eye with the Eye Indicator and the commissure of the lip with the Lip Indicator.
