Here is a VINTAGE BRASS FUEL PRIMING CUP VALVE.  It came from the work shop of an estate that had over 30 pre 1932 vehicles, mainly Packard, Cadillac, LaSalle, Pierce Arrow, Buick, Chevrolet and several vintage fire trucks such as Mack Bull Dog and American LaFrance.  I cleaned it up on the wire wheel and it came out nice.  I also sprayed it with WD-40 and checked the valve to make sure that it is not seized.  The handle spins a little to easily and that is because someone used a piece of bailing wire to hold the tension spring on the base of the valve.  This should be replaced with a cotter pin and washer to tighten things up.  The other flaw that should be pointed out is some heavy contact marks on the nut and just in front of the nut on the brass housing (see pictures).  The mounting threads are clean and in good usable condition.  Overall, a decent vintage primer cup valve with good potential.  Please check out the pictures and ask questions before bidding.  Professional packaging guaranteed (see our feedback).  Bid with confidence and good luck.
