This 3 Bahamian dollar note was introduced by the Central Bank of the Bahamas in 1984. It is a carmine note that measures 156 mm x 67 mm, is dated 1974, and bears the signature of Governor William Clifford Allen. Its obverse side features beachgoers on Paradise Beach and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Its reverse side shows a Bahamian sloop, the national coat of arms, and four boats in the Family Island regatta. Security features include a sand dollar registration device, a solid security thread, and a Spanish galleon watermark. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
