About our Timber we Use
All our timber is sourced from sustained forests. The timber heat treated(kilned) to remove all infestation. No added chemicals or treatments are applied to our timber. During our processes the timber is sawn and sanded. This means, just like a natural skiting board you can either use as it is or easily apply your own coloured finish

Why are the beds not painted?
We previously supplied, like everyone else on the internet cheap imported beds. These came complete with a painted finish.The problem is that, just like a skirting board the paint chips and flakes off, making for an unsightly finish in a couple of months. We have invested our money in the quality and strength of the product rather than the finish. Most customers like the natural look, the product can be used with no further treatment. However if you want to apply a finish it is super easy peasy. Firstly we strongly advise you assemble the product first, this ensures you are happy with the quaility and makes it easier to apply the finish.

Our Commitment to Environmental Sustainability

We have a passion for sustainability, this stretches from the pine we source to our packaging. We even use staple less staplers in the office!  For this reason, we only source our solid timber from FSC and PEFC approved forests. We're working in partnership with the Woodland Trust as another step in this journey and to help give back to the environment by planting trees with each bed purchased. We continually strive for environmental sustainability.

No Cheap Plywood Base Slats Here

Solid slats are more durable and provide greater levels of support than sprung slats, which are often made using cheap woods and finishes like Veneers, Laminate and MDF. The thickness of these materials are less than half the density of our solid slats. A common misunderstanding is that the movement of sprung slats provide support. This is false. The opposite is true as continuous movement weakens the frame and wears down your mattress. Providing uneven support for your body that significantly deteriorates over time. Never settle for less than solid slats for your bed. All our base slats are SOLID PINE, extra wide (70mm) and extra thick (19mm)

Delivery

Free Delivery to mainland UK (Includes Scottish Highlands) within 7 working days. We will keep you fully informed of your delivery as soon as we receive an order. This will include who is delivering, when and all tracking information. We send out text alerts and emails at each stage through the delivery process. Sorry we do not deliver to Channel Islands or any other Offshore location.

Returns

We accept the return of any unusued or unpainted product within 30 days of purchase. The return service is not free, it is the buyers responsibilty to arrange the return. We can arrange a collection for you for a charge of £30

Made in UK

This bed has not been shipped halfway around the world, imported from countries that have inferior and compromising safety standards. Countries where the environment, staff welfare and or quality control are secondary. This bed has been made, with LOVE from our factory in Bedfordshire, UK.

Safety First

Unlike importers or beds made outside the UK we have to conform to standards. Strictly Beds and Bunks are full members of FIRA (Furniture Institute Research Association). All our products are designed in the UK, tested in the UK to British Standards and MADE IN the UK. You can be safe in the knowledge our products confirm or exceed all safety standards - You can sleep well in that knowledge.

Aftersales Service

In the rare event you have a damage or missing part we have a free parts portal that you will have access to 24hours a day. We process and send the next working day by carrier. Peace of mind that if something goes wrong we have your back.

Also, in the event a part is broken a year or two down the line dont worry. We will still be able to replace a damaged part rather then having to replace the ite. Again peace of mind.
