Note:  I love reconditioning and fishing worthy vintage fly fishing rods for fun and to share.  If you can find them in the shorter lengths they make ideal trout, pan fish, and bass fly rods for a minimal investment. They often cast and fish better than many of their newer more costly counter parts, in my experience.  To me the lighter action Howald Process 2-piece fly rods from the 1950's through the 1960's offer the best durability, control, accuracy, and finesse.
