For sale C1890 The King Lens 6½ x 4¾ Landscape Brass Lens. The front is engraved "The King Lens 6½ x 4¾". The front is the aperture diaphragm and the back is the Lens cell. The King Lens is a bit uncommon type and is possibly from 1890. The aperture diaphragm scale marked on the barrel is- F8, 11, 16, 22.
Optical condition: the Lens glass is in remarkably good condition for its age, there only minor marks and for a light balsam edge separation. Mechanical condition: the aperture diaphragm open and close smoothly. Cosmetic condition: gold lacquer although a bit worn is still intact in some places.
Dimensions: 2 inch height; 1.75 inch front dia; 32mm glass dia; 45mm mounting thread dia. The Lens comes with its 3 holed flange.
