This lot contains 3 different shades of used stamps from Cape of Good
Hope. These stamps are Scott # 18 of the
6 pence issue of 1864 – 1865. It appears
to be bright violet, dull violet and pale lilac. All of these stamps have a heavy hinge remnant
on the back of the stamp from being previously hinged in an album (see
picture). Nice lot for a British
specialist collector.
