A vintage hand-knotted Tulu thick piled rug from Konya in Central Turkey. The rug is made of natural undyed lamb’s wool; therefore it is very soft and comfortable. These Minimalist rugs with lustrous wool pile were produced for daily use by nomads and villagers in Konya region of Central Anatolia until 1970s. Today they are considered collectible as well as being highly decorative floor coverings as each one is one of a kind and representing a diminishing form of textile and tribal art.
