This is the Mk III version of our 3D printed On30 Climax which now features even more fine body detail. We now include two cast metal cylinders with a flywheel, stirrup steps, a hand brake wheel and a cast metal operator crewman with a SMD LED lighting kit.
This unusual and unique, On30 scale narrow gauge (16.5mm track) A Class Climax SL Kit (Steam Locomotive) includes a fully assembled, Japanese made motor with double reduction gearbox for extremely smooth low speed running. (we now include the optional flywheel!)
'Out of the Box Models' specially commissioned this three piece 3D printed 1:48 scale model of a powerful industrial/forest locomotive then we sourced simply the best mechanism to power it. The vertical boiler is hollow so can easily be filled with additional lead weights for added traction or why not add a speaker and DCC/Sound!
Our comprehensive kit features a high resolution 3D printed body in three separate pieces to ease construction & painting. We also include bronze rod so you can bend up the steam piping for the two cylinder engine and a pair of SMD micro LEDs with resistors so you can make working head/tail-lamps. Our kit also features a high quality Japanese made 40:1 double reduction flywheel drive transmission for superb low speed running.

1 x Assembled & Tested Japanese made double reduction mechanism - easily modified for DCC applications
- low ratio 42:1 gearbox for realistic operation
- very short wheelbase of only 24.5mm (1")
- can be coupled to our included steam donkey flywheel via the brass crank
- easily add DCC/Sound with a hollow boiler for the speaker
- suitable for O Narrow and On30 applications
