JeePerf High Articulation Rebuildable Heavy Duty Inner Tie Rods for 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and many other GM models
Inner Tie Rods are parts of your front IFS steering system. They push and pull on your front wheels to steer them left to right, but they also should keep doing that while the front suspension is compressing and extending.
In engineering terms they have a range of operating angles to operate safely within.
Now, what happens when you lift your IFS truck??
You make the inner tie rod angle steeper at standstill. That makes your inner tie rod more comfortable and more within OEM engineering range during suspension compression, with a safer margin to compress and more than in its original position,
but what happens during suspension extension?
You end up running out of design range hitting the articulation angle limit if your OEM inner tie rod. When the inner tie rod hit its limit at force, it will either bend, snap or, at least, cause a joint failure. That action also jolts the gears of your steering rack which will accelerate its failure. Combine all these effect to the effect of adding taller, hence heavier, tires and now you can see where all this leads.
That is where JeePerf inner tie rods come in and why you want to use them when you lift your truck:
° We use larger bearings so the arm can have larger range of rotation angles so it can operate at steeper than oem angles and can handle more stress
° We make the inner tie rods with slightly larger diameters and use stronger alloy to give it more strength and more resistance to bending
° We make the threaded section longer, giving it more range for alignment adjustment
° We use industrial strength spherical bearings that are commercially available so you can rebuild your inner tie rods and you really never have to replace them
Combine those performance and safety benefits to the money saved by not having to frequently replace either a damaged steering rack or prematurely worn out front tires and you can immediately see the value in JeePerf SuperFlex Inner Tie Rods.
As an added bonus to JeePerf SuperFlex inner tie rods value, you also get to enjoy an unmatched steering feel, driving enjoyment, precise steering and driving confidence previously un-experienced using OEM components.
You will be impressed.
