PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE DESCRIPTION
This control cavity cover was made from a template made off my 1970 Gibson SG Standard. Gibson used this backplate on a number of different guitars including the SG Standards, SG Specials, SG Style Melody Makers, EB basses, and more. Please look at your control cavity shape to verify compatibility, there are obviously different shaped back plates on a number of the guitars I just mentioned, so use due diligence.
There is an earlier version of this back plate, they look almost exactly like this but have only 4 screws and are about 3/32" slimmer around where that top curve is. We are in the process of having a new template made after acquiring one of those back plates but we don't have it yet, it's in the pipeline. In the meantime we DO HAVE this back plate without the 5th screw hole and some of our customers have just been sanding the edge down to make it fit. Which is what we'll probably do with the rest of the 4 screw versions we have once we get that actual back plate in stock and can verify the edge shape.
We have these cut in .090 thick gloss black plastic, and screws are included as always.
Please note:
All new pickguards, back plates and truss rod covers are returnable UNTIL you peel off the plastic.
Please be certain of fit BEFORE you do any peeling.

Due to the extremely high cost of shipping internationally,
and the even more extreme cost of RETURN shipping, we reserve the right to
cancel international orders. We promise to do our best to communicate with you
to make sure you get the correct guard for your guitar, but if we don't receive
responses to our communication attempts, we will cancel the order. We've simply
had enough people not read the descriptions or assume that a pickguard will fit
their instrument without using any due diligence whatsoever--then expect us to
pay for return shipping--that it's literally killing us. We won't do it
anymore. If you find a pickguard that you think will fit your guitar, contact
us and include the make, model and year of your guitar for verification BEFORE
you order. If we don't hear from you or you don't respond to us we will cancel
the order. Period.
