Extremely Rare Lovely French Art Nouveau Solid Silver Irises Flower Goblet Cup !  Last image only for display and reference. The goblet top has two Irises, one on each side, and in France, which was known for romance, such duplicates stand for toi et moi (you & me). The Minerva in a squarish box indicates that the goblet is of French origin with a silver content of 950, which was their equivalent mark for sterling silver. The makers mark is on the bottom of the goblet L C with a large X , the mark of Louis Coignet a Parisian silversmith from 1889-1893. This beautiful Art Nouveau goblet cup is approximately 8 cm (3  2.5/16 inches) in height, with a bottom diameter of approx. 5 cm (1  15.5/16 inches), and open top diameter of approx. 6.4 cm (2  8.5/16 inches), and weighs approximately 103.8 grams. The goblet is relatively speaking large for these types of goblets (check dimensions), and being un-engraved makes it a treasure of a find since most such goblets where engraved with dedication initials ! The Iris flower is from the greek word for rainbow since this beautiful flower comes in so many different colors.
