Original McCormick - Deering Tractor Binder No.4 Manual - Instructions for setting up and operation - (Left Hand 8 and 10 Ft. Models) - with list and illustrations of repair parts.  The manual contains 100 pages and measures 9'' X 6''.  The manual has a date of 4-28-1936.  The overall condition of this manual is fair - note the condition listing above.  Mailed USPS First Class.  The first 40 pages of the manual has excellent diagram pictures and step by step instructions of the set up of the binder. Pages 40-68 of the manual include the following:  lubrication, adjustment and operation - tilting lever - binder lever - butt adjuster lever - reel levers - each with a diagram, how to hold twine when threading, method of testing tension on twine and trip hook, needle adjustments, needle and cord holder relation, cam and knotter hook pinion adjustment, binding attachment, how to remedy twine and knotter troubles, simple trouble bands found on knotter bills, and making chain drives last longer.  Pages 69 to 80 are the parts listing of Binder parts.  Pages 81 to 100 show each part with it's part number.

This manual was found in a Binder tool box a number of years ago and has been used by a number of people in the restoration, operation, and trouble shooting of their Binder projects.  The condition is only fair, but the information within is invaluable for the enthusiastist.
