The Guinea Bissau 1,000 Peso banknote from 1993 measures 149.5 x 64 mm. Its obverse side depicts a portrait of Bissau-Guinean nationalist and diplomat Amilcar Cabral wearing a cap along with a man weaving a modern loom, a stylized figure of a female, a flame as a registration device, and the national emblem. The reverse side features the Apotheosis to the Victory mural depicting nude women and men, drum, food, horse, and a flame. The security features of the note include a solid security thread printed with BCG and a watermark image of Amilcar Cabral.
