Replacement for damaged socket when caster is still good (or you bought casters from a source that doesn't include sockets).  1 piano caster/wheel mounting socket. 1/2" inner diameter (where the stem of the caster itself fits).  Darnell style socket - but - be sure to check your casters, these sockets are made for a caster with a 1/2" grip ring style stem (see pics) and some Darnell casters have 7/16" stems (I have those in my eBay store as well).  Mounting plate is 2 1/8" diameter and 1/4" thick.  Socket stem mounts in approx 7/8" hole. This style socket is stronger than the stamped type socket but it's still important for the stem to fit tightly in the leg to prevent damage to the socket once weight is put on it.
