BATTERIES ARE NOT INCLUDED THE BOX AND THE TRUCK ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.  THE TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN DISPLAYED.  I TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX TO TAKE THE PICTURE.   Hess 1978 Training Van Toy Truck Hess 1978 Training Van Toy Truck with battery installation instruction card. Lights tested and work. Van is in excellent condition with the only flaw being several yellowed spots that seem to be from the manufacture process – perhaps some sort of glue? (see photo for example of largest one) Right side door opens, and there is a a pop-up TV antenna (somewhat stiff) Battery compartment is clean and all lights work. The van has the date of 1978 imprinted on the bottom but according to http://rayshesstoytrucks.com the truck wasn't sold until 1980. Box has slight wear and stains on the bottom, with handwriting in pen “bought in the year of our lord nineteen hundred eighty-one”. One end flap has a bend. Complete with the top & bottom inserts as well as the battery card (which has some bends). Van measures approximately 12? in length.
