This Guitar needs some special care. It is made with Koa Wood and Koa wood comes from very hot and humid origins. When turned into a Guitar, if the humidity change drastically in a short time, such as using heating in your house during winter, specially between month of October and November when starting heating on, the humidity of your house will drop from 50% humidity average rate in summer down to 20% in only 3 days. If you are not taking care of the Koa Wood made instrument by keeping it into a humid area during winter, the wood will shrink very fast and you may have to visit a Luthier to adjust the Guitar quicker than planned. Koa Wood instruments sounds amazing and the looks is so nice! But it is very fragile wood because tree raised in an exotic country without any season. It is hardly recommend to keep a Koa Wood guitar into a solid Hardcase with a guitar humidifier installed into sound hole at a rate over 40% during all winter. No matter if this is a 350$ value Koa wood guitar or a 2000$ Koa wood guitar, Koa wood is the same origin.
