Here we have a very early Copper Samova Teapot from Middle-Eastern origin.
This would originally have been tinned, there is very little reminiscence of tin remaining.
Also some denting in places commensurate with age and usage.
The upper lid is hinged in with a bent nail as is the main lid, this would have had more sturdy pins in place.
Well made unusual design, kept warm from the centre of Teapot,
Brass handle and lid finial all original.
Height 25.5cm, length spout to handle 20cm, base diameter 11cm.
