This 2 New Zealand dollar note was introduced by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in 1985 and signed by Bank Governor S. T. Russel. It is a mauve, orange, green, and red note that measures 145 mm x 73 mm. Its obverse side features Queen Elizabeth II. Its reverse side shows a mistletoe flower (Peraxilla tetrapetala) and a rifleman/ titipounamu bird (Acanthisitta chloris). Security features include a solid yellow security thread and a watermark of Captain James Cook. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
