The Scotland 1 Pound banknote was released by the Bank of Scotland in 1988. Featured on the banknotes obverse are the bank arms with two women, and a picture of Scottish writer Sir Walter Scott. On the reverse of the note is the Union Bank of Scotlands emblem which depicts a sailing ship. Additionally, the medallion of Pallas is displayed. The banknote is 134 x 66 mm in size and bears a solid security thread. It has no watermarks but it bears the signatures of T.N. Risk and L.P. Burt. This particular Scotland 1 Pound banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
