The Spain 1 Peseta banknote was the last 1-peseta note issued in 1953 as the denomination was replaced by a coin due to the crumbling purchasing power of the currency. The obverse side features Alvaro de Bazan, 1st Marquess of Santa Cruz, Spain. The reverse shows a sailing ship at sea. This brown, orange, blue, and black banknote is 85 x 60 mm in size and has been graded 66 by grading company Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
