So I know a lot of people are probably thinking what the heck is that gemstone?

Andesine-Labradorite is a beautiful crystalline gem that is a combination of two feldspar varieties: andesine and labradorite. Its name "andesine" refers to the Andes Mountains where andesine was first found and the name "labradorite" was derived from Labrador, Canada, where labradorite was first discovered.

What makes this gemstone that much better is it’s Australian. This gemstone is from Queensland and has been hand faceted for precision, clarity and size.

A beautiful golden champagne yellow, really available on the market these days. I have seen these gemstones selling at $1500 a carat. Crazy I know!

I cut these gemstones around three years ago after travelling around Australia.

I only have around five in my collection and upon doing a cull of some of my collection I decided to let a few of these go as well. To be honest I had forgotten all about them. Terrible I know !

So let’s get into the Specifics. This gemstone is a fabulous 2.45 CRT and displays the perfect measurements of 9.10 x 7 x 5 mm

This specific gemstone has been cut in a very precise Emeraldcut and Really does look like a very high end refractive gemstone.

You will look at this gemstone and think it is flawless to the naked eye but in the photographs it may look like it has inclusions but it is simply light that gives that needle effect.

It is exceptionally clean and has been cut with a lot of love.

When most people think of labradorite, they think of the mineral rock that can colour shift. I do have that for sale but this gem quality feldspar is exceptional.
