The Lesotho 100 Maloti Banknote belongs to the 2007-2009 Issues. It is green in color and measures 140 x 70 mm. The obverse side features the seated Moshoeshoe I holding a club (knobkierie), a coat of arms with a crocodile on a shield flanked by Basotho horses, a calla lily (Zantedeschia aethiopica) leaf and flowers as a registration device, an outline of the Basotho shield, a lance (assegai), and a club (knobkierie). The reverse side shows a calla lily leaf and flowers, a Merino sheep outside a building, and a hut. This banknote bears a windowed security thread and a watermark.
