The Costa Rica 5 Colon unsigned remainder banknote was released by the Anglo Costa Rican Bank between 1903 and 1917. The front side of the note bears a back decorative design on a multi-colored underprint. It also bears a close-up image of Juan Mora Fernandez who served as the first Head of State. Centered on the back design is the first coat of arms of Costa Rica. The banknote is 185 x 85 mm in size and is made of paper.
