Marguerite Kirmse (1885-1954) is one of America's most beloved dog artists. Her background in dogs as a breeder and owner of Scottish Terriers only added to her ability to portray dogs in their most realistic and most amusing lights. This work is a pencil signed and pencil titled etching. It has been professionally matted, framed and is presented under glass.

Depicting a Pointer dog in the field, the etching is titled "Hold It". The artwork from mat board edge to edge measures 9 3/8" long by 7 5/8" tall. Overall framed size is 13 7/8" long by 12 1/8" tall. This etching was published in 1930.
