This lates 20th century Russian enameled a is a joy to hold
in your hand. It is stamped on the bottom of the kovsh. The lower half is stamped 916" and also "OЛЮ"
it is St. Petersburg (Leningrad) jewelry factory. The 916" is the Russian
symbol for sterling and the others stamps are the makers and possibly a date
letter? These stamps - marks are
on the outside of the cup, on the inside rim. Which I believe makes
this cup much earlier than most. By looking at this kovsh it appears to be
perfect. Taking a strong loop, you will not see hairlines and not slight
chipping to the enamel. The colors are strong and vibrant. I give a 100%

decorated by a colored enamel incredible decoration. Typical small scratches as
expected on silver of this age. The exterior has a finely detailed cloisonné
image of the oriental ornament. Stamped with the Russian Hallmarks 916" silver. The Enamel is essentially
perfect, no wear of any kind visible to the unaided eye. The enamel retains
beautiful luster throughout. The best indication of condition is to study the
