The Bhutan 1 Ngultrum is part of the family of banknotes issued in 2013 with a pick number P-27b designed by Giesecke & Devrient. This replacement banknote comes in uncirculated condition. The obverse features dragons and Khorlo or the Wheel of Dharma which is known to be one of the good luck symbols. The reverse of the banknote depicts the former Buddhist monastery Simtokha Dzong. The banknote measures 120 x 60 mm and is made of a hybrid composite substrate. It has no security thread and watermarks.
