The CHORD ShawlineX 2RCA to 2RCA Turntable (with fly lead) phono cable is based on the unique Tuned ARAY conductor geometry, which makes the cable "transparent" to the transmitted signal and is able to reliably deliver the signal in its original form without any additional coloring. Structurally, the cable consists of stranded copper silver-plated conductors in cross-linked polyethylene XLPE insulation. The conducted signal is protected by a composite shielding material that eliminates the influence of external RF noise and electromagnetic distortion, and also reduces mechanical noise. Outer sheath in flexible PVC, selected to further reduce mechanical noise.
The CHORD ShawlineX 2RCA to 2RCA Turntable cable is terminated with PTFE insulated proprietary RCA Chord VEE connectors with ultra-low mass silver plated contact surfaces to minimize mechanical vibration and resonance around the contacts. Both ends of the cable are also equipped with spades for grounding.
