Many Nascar Drivers joined in on a Motorcycle Ride across America that was started by Kyle Petty as a Charity Ride for his son, Adam Petty that died during Practice for the 2000 BUSCH 200 at Loudon New Hampshire Motor Speedway as his throttle stuck Wide-Open at Turn 3, causing the car to hit the outside wall virtually Head-On. Adam was killed instantly. Cause of death was concluded to be a Basilar Skull Fracture. Many Nascar Drivers began joining in to help with the Charity and also to leave the pressures of the track behind by taking to the Open Road on Two Wheels. In celebration of their Motorcycle Mania, Hot Wheels Racing decided to Produce the "THUNDER RIDES" Series. These 1/18th Scale Custom Bikes were Decorated with Authentic Team Colors, Graphics and Logos to fit each Nascar Drivers Sponsors.
