The PSL-15-24VDC is a Zero Differential PA66 Engineered Nylon Plastic ½” Solenoid Valve. It requires no pressure differential to work properly and can be used in gravity feed applications. This valve is fast acting, opening or closing in less than one second using stainless steel components and an EPDM seal.
This is a two way valve with a directional arrow indicating the inlet and outlet port. Each port is Female NPT threaded.
This valve is fit with a powerful 24 Volt DC coil with a 43650A DIN Connector. The coil has an H Class Rating which is equivalent to IP65 or NEMA 4 enclosure ratings. Like most solenoid coils this coil will become hot to the touch when used for continuous periods. This coil is rated for continuous use however, powering it for long periods of time can reduce the life of the coil. When possible this valve should be installed in a well ventilated area allowing airflow to the coil. Mounting position is preferably coil up but can be mounted in any position.
Due to the nature of solenoid valves a pre-filter is highly recommended to keep the diaphragm free from debris. Debris can clog the weep hole necessary for the valve to function and damage the internal components.
