Please note: The brake levers
and the extension levers are original Weinmann (see side view that shoes Weinmann black side cover).
Many recreational bikes of this era had brake levers with added-on extension levers from a different manufacturer (e.g. Diacompe, etc). This set has both lever and extension that are genuine, Swiss Weinmann.
Please note: Extension levers, often referred to as "safety levers" merely slowed the bike; they were never adequate to actually stop a fast moving bike.
The lever set for sale here was stored in a bicycle shop owners' spare parts bin; intended to replace levers for his family bikes.
The shop is recently closed for good; these were found in his classic parts storage.
These would make a good replacement for a refurbished bike, especially a Peugeot U08, as it is original to that bike (see owners' manual) and in great condition.
