This Vase is called Segmented turning and has 960 Segments. This vessel is almost 6' tall and weighs 60lbs. Most of the weight is in the bottom which is filled with steel and held there with epoxy. This makes it very stable. The Top is 16 inches and the inside is finished with clear epoxy. I would not fill it with water, it is more for strength. There are 6 sections that are making this vessel. They are bolted together and filled with foam. This makes it very strong. The bottom and top are made of oak. The center section is made of blue pine. The pine is burnt with a fracking machine, and then the burns are filled with copper colored epoxy.
