This product is intended to replace a tabbed, larger battery with a socket that a standard CR1616 cell will drop into.
Simply: it converts the space a tabbed battery would go into an easily swappable CR1616 battery.

This battery holder is compatible with almost any battery backed SRAM. As long as the pins can reach the solder pads, it will work for you.
Useful for games like Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Gold, Pokémon Silver, and Pokémon Crystal. Also compatible with other games that use a save battery.

Please Remember:
You are replacing a CR2032 / CR2025 higher capacity battery with a CR1616 which technically has less capacity.
***This is a trade-off of using a smaller sized battery.***
However, you can quickly and easily replace your save battery when it gets low SAFELY while your game is powered on! Remember the "button side" goes down!
Always triple check polarity! The battery "tab" or "button" should face DOWN!
