Louis Armstrong (1901-1971), nicknamed "Satchmo," was the greatest jazz trumpet player and vocalist of the 20th century.

He passed away in New York on July 6, 1971, but even now, 50 years after his death, his performances are still being heard all over the world.

This best-of album features a 2-disc set of 37 carefully selected representative songs and masterpieces such as "What a Wonderful World'' from recordings from the 1920s to the 1960s, looking back on Satchmo's musical life and celebrating his great achievements.
A special project for the 120th anniversary of his birth and 50th anniversary of his death.
