I used this on a cross-country road trip in my 2005 toyota and if it wasn't for this thing I would still be somewhere in the middle of Missouri. I lost cell phone service in the majority of the country, but this device never lost signal and was able to navigate me the entire time. 

Since I did not have bluetooth in my car, it was also my speaker for my podcasts, music and audiobooks (it connects via bluetooth from my phone and you can also download and access apps via the device itself), the speaker was loud enough for me to hear everything from the front seat. 

I hope this GPS tablet can help someone out just as much as it did me. 

The antenna comes out of the holder, but can easily be put back in and works fine...to be honest I think this may be on purpose but not sure.
