Ribbed coasters custom made by Lenox. Made in USA. Coaster measures 4 1/8" in diameter. White gold trim. Center of coaster depicts a packed Geary Street trolley car around the beginning of the 20th in San Francisco. Could be used for many things.

These are lightweight and feel like porcelain but I'm not certain.
