5965 IS A SENSIBLE EQUIVALENT TO E180CC - 6829 - 7062 - 12AT7
TUBE(S) YOU WILL RECEIVE ARE A PERFECT PAIR
Premium quality dual triode, similar to the E180CC. 5965: Phenomenal industrial tube that is quite similar to the ECC81 /12AT7 / ECC801S recognized and purchased by audiophiles as a low-noise substitute. With a lower gain than the 12AT7/ ECC801S / 6201, and a mu of 47 compared to 60 of the ECC801S / 12AT7. Similar to substituting a 5751 for a 12AX7 / ECC83 when trying to achieve a lower gain. GE made a similar inner-construction version of this tube in the Telefunken architecture of the 1960's, known for lower micro-phonic tendencies. There is also a rare Telefunken and Siemens version of this tube with long plates.
