Mithradates the Great was one of the most formidable foes of the Roman Empire.  He claimed descent from both the great kings of Persia and the generals of Alexander the Great.  He is said to have spoken the 22 languages of the nations which he ruled.  He made himself immune to poison, by ingesting sublethal doses.  Mithradates was unstoppable except for the full military might of Rome.

Ancient sources are clear on the awesome power of the aegis. The Iliad states that Athena went to battle "...holding the precious aegis which is ageless and immortal: a hundred tassels of pure gold hang fluttering from it, tight-woven each of them, and each the worth of a hundred oxen."  It had legendary power to protect, and to intimdate enemies.  When the aegis is shaken, "Mount Ida is wrapped in clouds, the thunder rolls and men are struck down with fear." ""It produced a sound as from a myriad roaring dragons."  It was awesome, that is agreed upon. However, what it actually was remains a complete mystery. It did have a gorgon head in the middle.

If you think you might buy additional items within the next week, you should pay when you are done with all of your purchases.   In order to maintain a preferred commission schedule, eBay expects me to ship items within one day of receiving payment. When I receive payment I ship as soon as possible.

Ebay may not automatically apply combined postage.  I will send invoices when needed.  If I don't, just ask for an invoice with combined postage.  If you pay for your items without the combined postage, I can just refund the extra.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS, PLEASE NOTE:  Direct international shipping is calculated by eBay at actual cost. In general, the price for an international package is around $16.  It may cost a lot less for people in other countries to send the same package to me, but that is my cost from where I am.  There may also be a problem with with eBay combining postage when buying multiple coins.   Postage to most international locations should be the same for one coin or multiple coins.  It doesn't matter how many coins in the shipment, the postage should be pretty much the same as for one coin.  If it is significantly higher, then ask for an invoice with combined postage and I will provide one.
