DESCRIZIONE
L'aneto (Anethum Graveolens) è una pianta erbacea annuale (o biennale) della
famiglia delle Apiaceae.
Cresce fino a 1-1,5m di altezza, possiede radici fittonanti, fusti eretti poco
gracili, foglie sottili (sono larghe 1mm) lunghe 5-20mm, e un'infiorescenza
sotto forma di ombrella composta di 5-8cm di diametro con piccoli fiori
gialli/verdastri di 2mm. I frutti sono piccoli semi alati di forma ovale e
appiattiti di 4-5mm.
L'aneto ha proprietà aromatiche, carminative (favorisce espulsione gas
intestinali), digestive, diuretiche, antispasmodiche e antinfiammatorie.
In cucina vengono utilizzate le foglie fresche o secche per aromatizzare
insalate, pesci, carni, salse; i semi essiccati invece possono servire per
aromatizzare liquori e confetture oltre che per ricavare l'olio di aneto.

Dill (Anethum Graveolens) is an annual (or biennial) herbaceous plant of the
Apiaceae family. It grows up to 1-1.5m in height, has taproots, erect stems
that are not very frail, thin leaves (they are 1mm wide) 5-20mm long, and an
inflorescence in the form of a compound umbrella of 5-8cm in diameter with
small flowers 2mm yellow / greenish. The
fruits are small winged seeds of oval shape and flattened of 4-5mm. Dill has
aromatic, carminative (promotes intestinal gas expulsion), digestive, diuretic,
antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties. In the kitchen, fresh or dried
leaves are used to flavor salads, fish, meats, sauces; the
dried seeds, on the other hand, can be used to flavor liqueurs and jams as well
as to obtain dill oil.
