This hanky or scarf is sheer.  You can see the pattern through it when I lay it over on itself.   I couldnt decide if it's 60's or 70s, but it is vintage.  It's also pretty large for a hanky measuring at 17 inches.  It's the size my grandma used to tie over her hair to keep the wind from blowing it before cars had a/c and she drove with the windows down.
