Drop-In ReClock replacement for the SAA7220 Digital Oversampling Filter to convert your 4-times oversampling CD-player to a better sounding non oversampling player.

No need for other changes to the CD-player electronics. Changing chips is all that is needed.

Experience the much more relaxed sound of a non oversampled DAC, due to the absence of digital filter (pre)ringing and passband ripple and also less jitter sensitivity due to a four times lower bitrate. You will find that musical details are becoming more richer and natural.

Apart from oversampling, the original SAA7220 chip also performs error interpolation, mute, attenuate and S/PDIF digital output signal generation. The SAA7220 NOS module also takes over this functionality.

Inherent to digital to analog conversion is a sinx/x (Sinc) roll-off for high frequencies. Compensation for this high frequency roll-off is normally incorporated the oversampling digital filter. When this filter is removed this compensation is also lost. The SAA7220 NOS module contains a switchable digital linear-phase FIR filter to restore this roll-off compensation.

Notice: in some players like Philips CD850, the SAA7220 chip is only used for S/PDIF signal generation. The SAA7220 NOS module will not work in there players.
